<Modern Ceramics Stand on the Path of Industry and Art>

Online Exhibition Operation

The Korea Ceramic Foundation operates an online exhibition hall so that you can enjoy the exhibition even while it is closed due to COVIS-19. This online exhibition was opened on May 22nd, the special exhibition <Modern Ceramics, Stand on the Path of Industry and Art>, but it was closed from the 29th of last month due to the spread of COVIS-19 in the metropolitan area.

The special exhibition highlights the overall modern ceramics through 150 pieces of ceramic relics produced and distributed from port opening in the late Joseon period to before liberation. By implementing this in VR (virtual reality), you can view the artwork as if you are in an actual exhibition room, and if you select a relic, you can see a brief explanation. The online exhibition hall can be viewed directly through the website of the Korea Ceramic Foundation (www.kocef.org), and both PC and mobile can be accessed, allowing convenient viewing of the works.

In addition, the foundation will present a variety of online exhibitions this fall, including the exhibition <Tea Culture and Goryeo Celadon>, and the permanent exhibition <Our History Through Ceramics>, where you can see 1,400 relics from the Goryeo and Joseon period.

"The online exhibition hall is a space where visitors who have difficulty visiting the exhibition hall with COVIS-19 can enjoy the exhibition even at home," said Young Choi, the CEO of the Korea Ceramic Foundation. "Online service will be provided in the future so that citizens can comfortably enjoy ceramic culture,” he added.

On the other hand, the special exhibition <Modern Ceramics, Standing on the Path of Industry and Art>, which opened at the Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum on the 22nd of last month, highlights the modern ceramics produced and distributed since its opening in 1876, and the process of change as an artistic ceramic and the transition of modern ceramics.
