▶ Suyoung Park: Hello. This is Suyoung Park, a ‘Culture News Messenger’ that quickly delivers cultural news such as various exhibitions and performances in Gyeonggi-do. Let me know about the news of the exhibition that we are introducing today. This is the first type introduced by GGC. It is a sculpture exhibition.

○ Sungyong Park: Sculpture exhibition! Please let me know I haven't introduced a sculpture exhibition at GGC. What kind of sculpture is this exhibition?

“This exhibition will be held at the same time in the exhibition room of the Gimpo International Sculpture Park Art Hall and the outdoor plaza of the Gimpo Art Village Art Center. Under the title <12X Illusion of Day and Night>, this exhibition introduces the sculptural works of 12 sculptors working in our area to citizens and prepared for citizens who are tired of coronavirus. It is an exhibition designed to allow you to see the images of sculptures that change every moment depending on the time of day and night. We prepared to appreciate the atmosphere of sculpture so that you can experience the dreamlike illusion of a midsummer night in the green forest of the sculpture park, the appearance of sculpture in the arms of nature, and the outdoor plaza of the Art Center at night when the heat does not go away. .”

○ Sungyong Park: So, the exhibition room of the Gimpo International Sculpture Park Art Hall and the outdoor plaza of the Gimpo Art Village Art Center, that is, one exhibition is divided into two and held indoors and outdoors.

▶ Suyoung Park: That's right. The feeling of indoor and outdoor exhibitions is quite different. It was fun to compare how the works of the same artist differ when placed outdoors and indoors.

○ Sungyong Park: Outdoor exhibitions look different when viewing works during the day and at night.

▶ Suyoung Park: Right. So, it would be nice to visit several times and enjoy the works. There is an online QR code for the work guide in front of the work, so you can meet 12 artists in person. You can understand more about the artist's intention and the artist while listening to the description of the work through the video.

○ Sungyong Park: I am very curious about what works of 12 artists working in Gimpo will exhibit. Please introduce me a bit.

▶ Suyoung Park: Let me introduce you to two works. It is a work by Nam Yeon-joo, who has the title of First. Originally, he is an artist who expresses the inner world such as positive emotions or negative emotions of human beings with works painted with lines and dots on objects that were originally mass-produced or everyday objects. I'll listen directly to the artist Nam Yeon-joo about this exhibition.

“The first time I did this work was the image of tattoos and tattoos. I started working with something like a weak but strong tattoo or something like that. At the time of work, I was raising children, and I was disconnected from socializing while raising children, but when I came out again, I expressed my desire to be free and the ambivalence of having to spend time to be faithful inside the house.”

▶ Suyoung Park: It is a work that expresses my current position and the future world that I want to go forward.

○ Sungyong Park: After listening to the artist's explanation like this, questions are constantly being asked in my head, ‘What kind of work is it?’ and ‘How did you express the inner world?’ I think this is the charm of radio. Which author's work is next?

▶ Suyoung Park: This is from Lee Yong-seok. It expresses a single form of several stainless steel bearing balls joined together, as if individuals in the modern society are gathered into dots and dots to become a big face of us. Let's hear from Lee Yong-seok directly about this work, which has a human-shaped Lego shape.

○ Sungyong Park: I think I know what kind of feeling this is. I also liked Lego a lot before, but I forgot to live.

▶ Suyoung Park: Lee Yong-seok wants to talk about ‘we' in the future. I will hear your future plans.

“What I want to work on in the future is actually similar to this one (this one). I want to talk about myself, I want to talk about others, I want to talk about us. I want to keep the story going, but I hope that the story isn't great. It seems to be very pretty when we collect our stories one by one. I want to make it that way.”

○ Sungyong Park: Actually, it's not flashy, so I think it's the most difficult to tell a simple “we” story.

▶ Suyoung Park: There are many other works. The artist Seok-Hyeon Moon showed the geopolitical features of the Gimpo area, which is located close to the DMZ, and a form composed of migratory birds and wire fence. In addition, the artist Jin-wook Heo was able to enjoy the fun of seeing the changes in the day and night according to the light by installing a round steel plate and a light bulb in it.

○ Sungyong Park: Reporter Suyoung Park now seems to want to introduce all 12 writers in a short air time. I heard it for a while now, but I am very curious. Among those who listen to the broadcast, those in the vicinity of Gimpo ask, ‘Did there be such an exhibition in Gimpo? There must be some people wondering. How long can I see this exhibition?

▶ Suyoung Park: This exhibition will be held until September 25th next month. For more details on the exhibition, I will hear from Park Jeong-hyun, team leader of the Gimpo Cultural Foundation.

▶ Suyoung Park: The entrance to the youth training center in Gimpo International Sculpture Park is currently closed, so please use the Gunha Forest Road from the Wolgot Living Culture Center to park and view.

○ Sungyong Park: The indoor exhibition is held until 4:00 PM, so I have to go to the indoor exhibition and go to the outdoor exhibition around 3:00. Isn't that right, should the sun set aside and go because the sun has fallen late these days?

▶ Suyoung Park: Oh, you must be really interested in Sungyong ParkDJ.

○ Sungyong Park: I'm a little curious today.

▶ Suyoung Park: There is an online video related to the exhibition on YouTube's “Gimpo Cultural Foundation Exhibition Channel”, so viewing the exhibition using that video is one way. Finally, I'll finish by listening to the future plans of the Gimpo Cultural Foundation.

[Interview/ Gimpo Cultural Foundation, Park Jeong-Hyun Team Leader]

“The existing exhibition program is extended until mid-August. We are planning to hold a new exhibition that has been prepared since September. Art Village Art Center is preparing an exhibition that explores Gimpo's urban identity under the title ‘Hangang River Free Zone, the City of Lost River'. At Bogugot, a small art museum, we are preparing an exhibition under the theme of "Undecided but Stocks.

▶ Suyoung Park: We ask for your interest in this sculpture exhibition (12X Illusion of Day and Night) that changes with time, day and night.
