Promotion of "COVID-19 Art Vaccine Project Plus"

Last April, the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation (CEO Heon Kang) created an emergency budget worth 5 billion won for the culture and arts community in Tokyo, which was at risk from COVID-19, and launched and promoted the Gyeonggi-do culture new deal <COVID-19 Art Vaccine Project>. As related projects such as performances, exhibitions, and culture and arts education were canceled one after another, they actively participated in reducing the pain of artists who were directly hit, especially since the foundation of the company, by realizing the extreme prescription of 'utilization of basic assets', which is the first to bring a breath to the urgent culture and arts world. It was good. These achievements have also resulted in the recognition of the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation's “Art Vaccine Project” as an exemplary case for responding to the COVID-19 crisis in the culture and arts community and as a “brand” in the Korean culture and arts community.

In line with the prolonged COVID-19, the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation announced plans to further promote <COVID-19 Art Vaccine Project Plus> by mobilizing all available annual budgets. If the <COVID-19 Art Vaccine Project>, which was previously carried out, paid 5 billion won of emergency funding to the artist's creative activities, this 'Plus' project will continue to reduce rental fees for residents of the foundation and affiliated institutions, which have been promoted since the first half. It consists of support for art instructor activities, support for alternative artistic activities in the non-face-to-face era, and new projects to overcome the accumulated fatigue and depression from COVID-19.

The main projects of <COVID-19 Art Vaccine Project Plus> promoted by the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation to respond to the irreversible situation where additional support is more urgent and to comfort and encourage citizens in a long-term pandemic situation are as follows:

1. Art Vaccine Box Delivery Project

In order to heal the situation in which the depression and loneliness of members of society are growing due to the disconnection of communication due to continued social distancing, the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation aims to create paintings, crafts, prints, and designs for the underprivileged, Koreans overseas, medical staff, and North Korean defectors. We produce and deliver 10,000 special experience boxes where you can experience various culture and arts such as gardening, etc.

We plan to set up a section of psychological quarantine that Gyeonggi Province should embrace and comfort with, beyond Gyeonggi-do, to the overseas Korean community such as Russia and Cuba, and to receive it in early November after completing demand surveys and vaccine boxes in October. . Of these, 2,000 are planned to be distributed after receiving applications from local residents through the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation website.

2. Special Sacrifice • Special Reward-Face to Face Project

This project is being promoted in the top 11 regions of the Gyeonggi-do overlapping regulation, which are further severed by COVID-19 and are in trouble. This project, which is promoted with the subtitle ‘True Face-to-Face Art for One Person,’ supports all forms of culture and art projects for the audience of ‘one person (or one family),’ selected by applicants through prior interviews. In the transition to the non-face-to-face era faced by the culture and arts world, this public offering project, starting from the reflection of ‘Will we really face to face in the face-to-face era', is ‘Which people will we deliver art to' rather than ‘what kind of art to do'. It is different from any other existing culture and arts competitions in that it pays attention to. Through the organization of the project with the audience as the prerequisite, the true emotion and sincerity we expect from art will be expressed.

In particular, in the first half of the <Art Vaccine Project>, like ‘Driving Theater', which was an alternative cultural arts program in the non-face-to-face era, ‘Seriously Face-to-Face-Art for One Person' also presents a new alternative to art activities for minority prisoners who are safe from COVID-19. It is noteworthy in that it does. For a total of 50 teams, 1.5 million won for individuals and 3 million won for groups are supported. Applications are accepted from October 15 to 22, and details can be found on the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation website.

3. Dissemination of symphonies for the comfort of COVID-19

GyeonGi Cultural Foundation produces and distributes symphonies that can comfort those who share pains and wounds around the world due to the unprecedented pandemic situation and deliver a message of hope for a bright future at home and abroad. This project is expected to receive a lot of attention because it is planned to create a song by commissioning the composer Jaejoon Lyu, who is already revered internationally. The GyeonGi Cultural Foundation will launch this project in accordance with the medium-term plan to produce and distribute the album as soon as this symphony is completed.

In addition, a special performance 'Driving Theater for COVID Heroes', which encourages medical staff fighting at the forefront of COVID-19, and conveys a message of gratitude, was organized and held on November 21.'COVID The -19 Crisis Overcome Support Center' continues to operate until the end of the year. Various projects of <Art Vaccine Project Plus> will also be shared through the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation online content platform “ggc.ggcf.kr” and the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation YouTube channel.

Heon Kang, the CEO of GyeonGi Cultural Foundation, said, “We thank you for sending so much interest and love that anyone thinks of the ‘Art Vaccine Project' when it comes to COVID-19 culture and art support projects.” “The 'Plus' project that will be promoted in the second half of this year is also “We reorganized and organized the entire project of the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation with the spirit that we will not miss even 1%, and we hope that these efforts will provide heartfelt comfort and encouragement to the cultural artists of Gyeonggi Province as well as their audiences.”
