○ Sungyong Park: This is the time for “Gyeong Gi Culture,” , to quickly deliver the cultural news of Gyeonggi Province. We are together every Friday. Let's meet Reporter Park full of bright energy. Hello. Reporter Park!

▶ Suyoung Park: Hello. This is Suyoung Park, a ‘Culture News Messenger’ that quickly delivers cultural news such as various exhibitions and performances in Gyeonggi-do. I'm getting this news today faster than anyone else! I don't know how excited I was because I wanted to convey it.

○ Sungyong Park: I'm very excited too. What is the news?

▶ Suyoung Park: Have you ever heard of ‘Eoak TV’? In the future, conversation among children may be difficult if they do not know the 'Eoak' character of ‘Eoak TV'. On May 5th, Children's Day at the Children's Museum of Gyeonggi-do opened a YouTube channel for children, “Eobak TV”.

○ Sungyong Park: I heard ‘Eoak TV’ for the first time today, but once I hear the name, I don’t think I will forget it. It sticks to your mouth. What programs are available?

▶ Suyoung Park: There are a wide variety of programs from cooking to home training with children. I'll hear from the manager Park Hye-rin of the Gyeonggi Children's Museum about what programs are available.

“A making program using materials that can be conveniently obtained at home or at a nearby stationery store, a cooking program that you can do with your parents, a hand puppet show, and a program in connection with experts that we did last year at our museum. I made a composition by shooting a video. In fact, we are also the first to create such content, so I am not sure how the reaction will be. I plan to focus more on things that respond well while uploading various videos.”

▶ Suyoung Park: Starting with the hand puppet play on May 5th, contents are going up one by one. You can’t listen to the video, right? I'll listen a little bit like a taste.

○ Sungyong Park: It's fun. As all offline events for children were canceled in May, the children would have been very disappointed, but I think it will be a little comforting to be able to enjoy it on ‘Eobak TV'.

▶ Suyoung Park: That's right. As the time at home gets longer, the children are also frustrated, but in fact, parents are also worried about how to play with them, saying, ‘I've done all this and I don't know what to play anymore. ‘ If there are such contents, they made it accordingly, and while listening to fairy tales, they said that it was so good to have a conversation with a child and have a happy time.

○ Sungyong Park: Did you think the reaction was hot around you?

▶ Suyoung Park: Yes, it was really hot. I promoted Eobak TV. 'This time, a channel for viewing children's educational contents was created at the Gyeonggi Children's Museum. Take a look at the video. ‘ It’s fun when I sent a link. If the kids don't have fun, they won't watch it again. All the instructors who run the Eobak TV program are professionals!

[Interview/ Manager Park Hye-rin, Gyeonggi Children's Museum]

“Our Gyeonggi Children's Museum and the North Gyeonggi Children's Museum run Eobak TV, so I create content with educational instructors and artist teachers who were scheduled to teach offline lectures on weekend family programs in the first half. Actually, the craft program shown on Eobak TV is conducted by the instructor of the weekend family program, and in the case of hand puppetry, the actor who plays the puppetry conducts it.”

○ Sungyong Park: So, the people who are running this program are the instructors who lectured offline or the artists who actually live in the field. It's not only beneficial, but it can't be fun.

▶ Suyoung Park: That's right. It was fun even for me as an adult. This high-quality content was able to come out because of the efforts of the instructors. I'll hear what kind of efforts have been made from instructor Yeonmi, who is 9 years old this year.

“I made a video of various making programs that children can do at home. In particular, I paid attention to two things, including making a house with a parcel box. First, I made it so that it was not difficult for children to make, and I put an interesting story in it. Second, we made it possible to recycle the courier boxes that are delivered to many homes these days, the excess plastic, and the used tissue paper. Rather than buying additional ingredients, we've configured it to make the most of what you have.”

○ Sungyong Park: It's not too difficult, but it seems like they are programs that can be made simply by using what you have at home.

▶ Suyoung Park: I heard all the programs from the instructor Yooyeonmi. To introduce only one of them, there is an experience of ‘making a house with a courier box. ‘ I'm so curious about this that I don't throw away the delivery box to try it out.

○ Sungyong Park: Try making it and let us know a little about it.

▶ Suyoung Park: Actually, ‘Eobak TV' is one of the COVID-19 art vaccine projects of the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation that we introduced last time. As all events were canceled in the aftermath of COVID-19, the work of instructors and artists also decreased. I was able to hear from Instructor Yooyeonmi about this situation.

[Interview/ Instructor Yooyeonmi]

“Actually, nothing happened after I finished winter vacation training at the museum at the end of January. Because museums and art galleries were closed indefinitely at the end of February... education resumes in mid-March. The winter vacation education and the new semester education begin, but now it is in a state of being suspended with nothing. But I chose me as an educational instructor at the Gyeonggi Children's Museum and started filming videos. In preparing and conducting the filming, of course, I had a decent financial income, which helped me mentally and economically.”

○ Sungyong Park: There are a lot of people who have really struggled in the first, second, third, and April months. It's stupid to hear about the current situation directly. “Eobak TV” is one of the many art vaccine projects. I hope that I will find the right support for me and overcome this difficult situation together.

▶ Suyoung Park: The Gyeonggi Children's Museum is said to be carrying out projects to become a smart museum, such as applying realistic content and reorganizing its homepage, starting with this 'Eobak TV'. It is said that ‘Eobak TV’ will be uploading various contents steadily even after the temporary closure ends. Let’s listen to the person in charge of Park Hye-rin, Gyeonggi Children's Museum.

[Interview/ Manager Park Hye-rin, Gyeonggi Children's Museum] “We plan to operate Eobak TV even after the closure is over. I mainly upload archiving videos about performances, news, or ended education at the museum and upload them as PDFs to the resource center on the museum's homepage.

○ Sungyong Park: I hope many people from 'Eobak TV' will love you. Starting with this Eobak TV, I hope that the digitalization of museum education, which is expanding online beyond offline, will be the first to promote various online education projects.
