Social Service Activities of Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus

Social Service Activities of Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus

<Art Vaccine Project > provides an urgent relief method for relieving the agonies of artists suffering from canceled or downsized projects, whether performances, exhibitions, cultural events, or art and education, by performing activities related to culture and art. In an attempt to undertake this project, Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus will push ahead with ‘a cut of rents for residential groups’ and ‘voluntary social service activities’ to help the residential groups suffering from a sharp fall in sales volumes, to help overcome their crises, and to provide a comfortable cultural space for local residents to co-exist within. Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus is scheduled to undertake a wide variety of activities through mutual co-operation with residential groups in order to overcome the difficulties caused by COVID-19. We thank for your keen concern and support.

Art Vaccine Project 01 of Sangsang Campus: A Lowers Usage Fee for Residential Groups

▶ A Cut of the 3-month Usage Fee (Rents) of 51 Residential Groups by 100%

It was decided to reduce three months (February, March and April) of the usage fee by 100%, in order to help the residential groups of Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus suffering from a sharp fall in sales volumes caused by canceled major cultural or art events and the reduced visitors. The reduced fee of a total of 21,961,000 won include all the 51 individuals and groups in Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus. Additional methods for a series of possible COVID-19 impact remediation are considered. It is expected that a cut of usage fees would alleviate the burdens of residents and offer momentum for the creative activity of the culture and arts fields.

Art Vaccine Project 02 of Sangsang Campus : Relay Social Contribution Activities together with Residential Groups

▶ Donating 200 sets of Relief Goods for COVID-19

▶ Manufacturing Cotton Masks through the Competency of the Residential Groups of Sangsang Campus

GyeongGi Cultural Foundation, Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus and the Residential Groups donated COVID-19 relief goods, such as cotton masks, hand sanitizers and more, manufactured through <Relay Social Contribution Activities> to the local community! On the last 13th, the staff of Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus and the Residential Groups joined in the work of manufacturing cotton masks and packing boxes. Relief kits include sanitary supplies and life-necessities for preventing COVID-19, such as handmade cotton masks manufactured by the residential groups, hand sanitizers, mixed grain sets, handkerchiefs, and so on. The relief goods manufactured by Sangsang Campus and the Residential Groups will be donated to 'Ji-dong Community Service Center' and 'Bambat Senior Welfare Center,’ with 100 boxes. Each agency is going to deliver them to local residents. Social contribution activities address the meaning of sharing within the local community, with the participation of some 20 residential groups and youth businessmen in small businesses around the region.
