Experimental art dabang where wacky and vagarious activities are happening with ordinary things. 

is going to be held at a Lobby gallery of Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation from September 3th through October 5th. “Cosmos Dabang”(henceforth referred to CODA) is a condensed space which has multiple meaning, history, functions and unique interior design. “Dabang”(means coffee house in Korean) has had versatile facets. Once it was a modern space where artists and writers discussed and shared their thoughts about times and art, a music cafe served as a young people’s haven and way out in 1970’s, seniors’ gathering place for old memory with its previous functions reduced at present.

CODA is a venue for meeting times to times, people to people and fine art colliding with popular art. It allows reconstruction and reproduction pursing unlimited possibilities for everything to be art. Various artistic activities happening in this space adopt artistic methodologies free and closely related to ordinary and daily things, crossing boundaries of prototypical art. CODA is an experimental lab, witnessing possibilities of contemporary art and how it fills the gab between art and the general public.
