Having faces of four seasons

Crown Haitai Art Valley is a cultural complex constituted of various cultural experience spaces over a 1,000,000-pyeong land. Located near Songchu Recreation Area in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, the Art Valley had run a creative studio, gallery, Garak learning hall and many other experiences in the past, but the only venues that people can access and experience today are the café and Jangheung Recreational Forest.

Jangheung Recreational Forest is a multi-colored festival site that has faces of the four seasons. In spring and fall, a package that offers eight basic programs, including forest experience, goldfish catching and seedling planting, and lunch boxes is available under the theme of “let’s go on a picnic to a forest!” Summer is the season of a running water pool, a water sledding slope and other cool spaces where children and adults alike may enjoy water bumper cars, water rolls, etc.

But the main event at Jangheung Recreational Forest is the snowflake festival held in wintertime. It features a long snow sledding park that even adults can enjoy as well as ice sleigh, icefish experience site and an exhibit of various sculptures made of snow. Also, an AR experience hall, the first-ever augmented reality playground introduced in Korea, is located inside where the marine organisms that a child draws and paints come to life in 3D.

The sculptures and models standing throughout the festival are all created by the employees themselves. The artworks, which could be mistaken as products of famous artists, fill up the vast festival site with a high degree of completeness. Thus, expectations are high for the spaces being developed and to be created for increased convenience and excitement for the visitors.
