Hello Shillhak! Now see you online
GyeonGi Cultural Foundation The Museum of Silhak (Director Taehee Kim) has prepared a new site this year, following last year! Since this year, a large number of activities that have been provided only in connection with schools have been produced and always furnished with inexpensive materials, so that anyone who wants, as well as school groups, can view the exhibition while unpacking the activity sheets online or offline.
The newly planned activity sheet to contain the contents of the exhibition room partially revised last year reflects the opinions of teachers who have led students so far, and received advice from teachers at the school site in connection with the nearby offices of education. For children, a total of 10 questions were organized into words and paragraphs appropriate to the eye level of 4th graders. For difficult words, explanations were added at the bottom to help understanding. For youth, the level of difficulty and type of problem were examined by referring to high school history textbooks.
The content of the worksheet is largely composed of three. It is divided into exhibition rooms 1, 2, and 3 according to the movement of the exhibition halls. In the first exhibition room, the subject of the question “Let’s see how Shillhak was born?” is the subject: ① Arrange the necessary knowledge, ② To reform an inconvenient system, ③ To look at the outside world, ④ It consists of four main points: devising measures to reform the national system. In particular, in the institutional reform, the Daedong Policy was drawn in a 4-frame cartoon so that anyone could easily understand it.
In the 2nd exhibition room, 'Shall we look for a representative Shilhak scholar? We will learn about Seongho Iik, Damheon Hong Daeyong, Yeonam Park Jiwon, Dasan Jeong Yakyong, Chusa Kim Junghee. In particular, this year, we will highlight 〈Teagyoshingi〉, which has not been talked about in one corner of the exhibition hall, and the author, Sajoodang Lee. As a result, I tried to inform you that there was a female Shilhak scholar who scientifically analyzed 'Salim' in daily life with her own efforts and will, although she could not come out of society from the world under the male world. In addition, for Jeong Yak-yong, who has compiled Silhak, the famous “Hapicheop” and “Maehwabyeong Policy” are presented with the addition of “Jung Yak-yong’s Love toward His Family”.
In the final exhibition room 3, “Honggaetongheon”, known as an Islamic star clock designated as a national treasure last year, and “Konyeomangukjeondo” restored to life-size at The Museum of Silhak in 2011 were covered. This is a relic of great significance because it was able to escape from the Chinese ideology at the time.
On the other hand, the activity sheet is always provided in the lobby of The Museum of Silhak for field trips, and can be found online at website of the Museum of Silhak, Education & Events - Education Experience Resource Center for pre-education before visiting the museum.
