How will our education change after COVIS-19

“Five Strategies for the Future Learning Era”

containing lifelong education plans

In order to expand the non-face-to-face learning that Gyeonggi Province is increasing with COVIS-19, we are building a new video education system that enables real-time communication. A portal to view, apply for, and participate in lifelong learning courses operating throughout Gyeonggi-do will be established, and future education will be expanded, including a virtual experience system and 3D printer. A fair lifelong learning environment will be created that anyone can enjoy not only for the disabled, but also for out-of-school youth and 5060 new middle-aged.

On the 2nd, the head of the Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Education Bureau held an online press conference at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office and announced the “Five Strategies for the Future Learning Era,” containing lifelong education plans for the second half of the 7th term of the public election.

The five strategies announced by Gyeonggi-do on this day are non-face-to-face learning environments, future lifelong learning, practical democratic citizenship education, fair lifelong learning, and career-type lifelong learning.

▲ Leading an Un-Tact learning environment

First, the 'Gyeonggi-do type real-time video class platform', which enables lifelong learning instructors who are in the era of activating non-face-to-face learning to communicate and learn interactively with residents through real-time video education, was established in GSEEK, an online lifelong learning Gyeonggi Province by 2021 I plan to do it. As one of these stances, we have decided to increase the proportion of non-face-to-face education, which is 17% of the current 14 lifelong education project budgets, to 40% of the budget for each project by 2022. In addition, the “Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Learning Portal, where you can learn and know at a glance,” which collects the learning information the citizens want, will be provided by 2022 to provide a one-stop lifelong learning program that runs throughout Gyeonggi-do. In addition to checking the course information of public institutions under the provinces and cities of Gyeonggi-do Life Technology School, and lifelong learning course information by city and county at once, it is also operated by integrating application and confirmation of lifelong learning space reservations by city and county.

▲ Expansion of future lifelong learning that continues to grow

The future-type “Gyeonggi-do Representative Library” will be built by 2023, which can lead citizens' information exchange and lifelong learning. Gyeonggi-do is planning to develop an advanced information service that analyzes user needs and provides valuable information based on artificial intelligence and big data. In the Gyeonggi Future Education Campus located in Paju and Yangpyeong, a creative space for cultivating creative thinking skills such as coding, 3D printer, and future + English convergence education will be built, and new technologies of the 4th industrial revolution such as Internet of Things, robots, and artificial intelligence will be developed. We plan to support the creation of a future smart library that was utilized.

▲ Proliferation of practical democratic citizenship education to leap forward to an advanced society

After Mr. Jae-myung Lee took office as governor of Gyeonggi-do, democratic citizenship education, which showed remarkable growth, will be expanded. First of all, Gyeonggi Province decided to support the enactment of the ordinances for democratic citizenship education in 31 cities and counties so that democratic citizenship education based on the local community could be revitalized. In addition, in order to protect the labor rights of working youths by 2022 and to spread a culture of respect for labor, we train 300 labor rights instructors with on-line and offline lecture capacity, and provide customized labor rights education for young people in middle and high schools and outside schools. It will be operated more than a thousand times.

▲ Reinforcement of fair lifelong learning enjoyed by everyone

In order to guarantee lifelong learning rights for people with disabilities, the “Lifelong Education Program by Disability Type in Gyeonggi Province” will be expanded to 31 cities and counties by 2021. Programs for each type of disability are six lifelong education programs according to the characteristics of disabilities, such as “Harmony of Love,” a chorus for the disabled with autism, and “Areum Ceramics” for the developmental disabled. The province plans to train 50 instructors and distribute the program to all 31 cities and counties by next year. In order to increase the self-reliance of youth outside of school, we plan to provide a training participation allowance for youth participating in education and training, or provide a qualification acquisition allowance when obtaining a certificate. In order to bridge the gap in reading welfare, 'Gyeonggi-do Youth Book Pack Regular Delivery Service', which provides regular delivery of books to 3-year-old infants in six cities and counties in northeastern Gyeonggi-do, including Yangpyeong and Gapyeong, is provided from 2021. I plan to do it.

▲ Realization of educational welfare where work and life are happy through career-type lifelong learning

Gyeonggi-do is planning to expand the Gyeonggi-do-style college student employment bridge, which combines college majors (5 months) and long-term field training (5 months) in one curriculum, from 300 students at 6 schools this year to 400 students at 8 schools next year. is. Gyeonggi-do plans to continue to develop and expand the curriculum by introducing new curriculums such as YouTube creators, elevator maintenance, and complex building managers into Gyeonggi Life Technology School, reflecting the educational demands of 5060 years old who want a job. In order to resolve the inequalities in accessing career information based on economic strength, the “Gyeonggi-do High School Student Career and Advancement Pathfinding Project” is promoted by incumbent teachers visiting schools and providing 1:1 career advancement consulting.

On the other hand, Gyeonggi-do is operating the Gyeonggi Future Education Campus to support children's and adolescents' English experience learning and creativity and personality education to provide life-long learning for each life cycle since Gyeonggi Governor Jae-myeong Lee took office. In addition, the nation's largest democratic citizenship education and successful retirement preparation for the 50s and 60s were operated, and 25 public libraries were expanded to spread the reading culture in daily life. For lifelong education without discrimination, we provide free school uniforms and meal expenses to alternative educational institutions for the first time in the metropolitan government, and also provide meal expenses to youth who use youth support centers outside the school.

In addition, in order to reinforce job-linked lifelong education, a “visiting learning class” was operated to link job seekers in the instructor field with the learning community for children and adolescents, linking 2,600 job activities last year, and 31 cities and counties in the province for the first time in the province. Designated as a lifelong learning city, we have achieved a lot of results in the field of lifelong education.
