GyeonGi Cultural Foundation (CEO Heon Kang) and Incheon International Airport Corporation (President Bonhwan Koo) presented Incheon International Airport Public Art Graffiti Art “MEET AGAIN” at Incheon International Airport Passenger Terminal 1 (T1) on August 10th. This project, jointly promoted by the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation and Incheon International Airport Corporation, is a part of the public art project that the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation has been working on so that public art can become art in life. This project went beyond Gyeonggi-do and moved to an international location called Incheon International Airport.
Incheon International Airport, which is experiencing a lot of difficulties due to the rapid decrease in passengers due to COVID-19, is not just a space for passengers and transportation, but a space where you can enjoy a variety of experiences through culture and art through this project together with the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation. It expanded the concept of an airport as an airport and laid the foundation for creating a 'culture and art airport'.
Artists Heonjoo Koo (Kay2) and Jinhyun Choi (Jinsbh) who participated in this project presented a work that conveys the message of “MEET AGAIN” by addressing the difficulties of communication and exchange, such as the recent racial discrimination issue and border control between countries. . Artist Koo conveys a message of hope by showing people of various races wearing masks and smiling brightly to those visiting the airport, and Artist Choi conveys the message of “love, peace, coexistence” through the artist's unique 'Hangul Graffiti'. , Hope” message.

The two artists say we must not forget that the space we live in is a place where we live with care and respect for each other. When making a field trip for the production of the work, he said that he looked at the secluded airport situation and thought about how the corona crisis had affected our lives and how precious our daily lives before the coronavirus were. He said he hopes that people will be able to overcome difficult times together and convey hope for the day to meet again.
Curator Giyoung Choi of GyeonGi Cultural Foundation said, “In August 2020, we will conclude a business agreement for mutual cooperation with Incheon International Airport Corporation.” “As a step-by-step project, we will expand the infrastructure of culture and arts inside and outside the airport and in the surrounding areas. I will make public art works for me.” “In the future, GyeonGi Cultural Foundation will make more efforts to spread culture and arts throughout the living space by carrying out continuous external cooperation public art projects.”
