○ Sungyong Park: This is the time for “Gyeong Gi Culture,” , to quickly deliver the cultural news of Gyeonggi Province. We are together every Friday. Let's meet Reporter Park full of bright energy. Hello. Reporter Park!

▶ Suyoung Park: Hello. This is Suyoung Park, a ‘Culture News Messenger’ that quickly delivers cultural news such as various exhibitions and performances in Gyeonggi-do. Today, I brought news of various culture and arts from Yeoju-si. First, it is said that the tombs of King Sejong and the tombs of King Hyojong completed the maintenance project over six years and two months, and were released to the public last Friday, the Hangeul stamp.

○ Sungyong Park: Was it public after 6 years and 2 months? Time is also time, but a lot of budget must have been spent, but I think there is a reason for this project.

▶ Suyoung Park: That's right. On June 30, 2009, when 40 units of Joseon Royal Tombs were registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, in order to restore the authentic royal tombs, the was recently launched to ‘find the appearance of King Sejong's tomb'. I pushed it forward. I will hear more details from Secretary Song Bong-gyu of the King Sejong Relic Management Office.

“The Yeongneung sanctuary and cleanup projects in the 1970s took a lot of budget and time, and were largely promoted, and through this, Yeongneung became a representative attraction in Yeoju and Gyeonggi-do. However, for the convenience of visitors, modern viewing support facilities, such as parking lots, shops, and exhibition halls, were installed within the entrance area of the royal tomb, which should be sacred, and it was regrettable that the rooms, incense, and fish were erected inconsistent with the original location and format. ”

○ Sungyong Park: Artificial modern facilities created for the convenience of visitors, and the buildings of Yeongneung that did not fit the original location and form, such as Jaesil, Incense Burner, and Fish! So, is this maintenance project focused on these parts?

▶ Suyoung Park: Yes, that's right. The tomb's jaesil refers to a building for rituals. The incense burner means the path through which the spirits pass, the fishing means the way the king walks, and the fishing gear means the measure for drainage. For more details, I will continue to listen to Secretary Song Bong-gyu.

“The parking lot installed in the entrance area of King Sejong's tomb, the exhibition hall of Sejong, and the store were built around 500m outside the entrance area, and the King Sejong History and Culture Center was built and moved there. Recovered. In addition, according to the literature data and excavation results, the houses, incense, and fish that were built not to fit the original were restored and refurbished according to the original data, and the stone steps that were heavily installed in the tomb tombs that hindered the landscape were demolished. Has been maintained.”

○ Sungyong Park: Through the for ‘Finding the Tomb of King Sejong', Yeong and Yeongneung are newly created as a space where you can visit the royal tombs according to manners, not just tourist attractions.

▶ Suyoung Park: Yes, it is expected that it will be an opportunity for worshipers to imitate the virtue and feat of King Sejong with more reverence in the future. Some areas of the restored Yeong and Yeongneung areas have been opened since May, and the entire area will be open from October 9.

“The Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival is a festival for agricultural products in Yeoju every fall. If it goes on this year, it will be the 21st. The Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival is a cultural tourism festival where visitors can enjoy a variety of traditional experiences and food by recreating the old appearance of the traditional market of Naru, which developed through rice and other grains, which were the true products of Yeoju during the Joseon Dynasty. In particular, the Ogoknaru Festival is a festival that has no opening ceremony and performance stage popular singers found in other festivals. All programs are visitor-centered, and we are trying to make the most of the true meaning of the festival.”

“On May 15th, a live broadcast of the Seongmo Festival, the King Sejong's birthplace at the tomb of King Sejong, helped viewers understand with the commentary of Mr. Choi Tae-seong, a famous history lecturer. In particular, the online history class of elementary, middle and high school students provided a great opportunity for students to see and understand the Seongmo Festival, which is difficult to encounter normally. Based on this experience, we are also planning a live broadcast on November 17 for the Seongmo Festival for Empress Myeongseong, and we would like to introduce historical and cultural events to students and the public through the same online lectures.”

○ Sungyong Park: We need to be more interested and widely known about events that strive to commemorate the old historical culture. On November 17th, I hope that you can enjoy the Seongmo Festival of Empress Myeongseong, which is broadcast live online, and introduce a lot to the surrounding area. However, when it comes to 'Yeoju', ceramics are indispensable, but there is no story of a ceramic festival.
