I am right handed

Singer Lee Jeok's song, specifically, one of the songs he released in the mid-1990s when he was a member of Panic, is the song called left-handed. Even if you can't remember all the lyrics, many people will remember the part where you shouted "I'm left-handed" as if screaming with a wonderful voice mixed with the unique nasal sound of Lee Jeok. It is said that the song “left-handed” was originally created to represent LGBTQ people. However, whatever the reason, it has become a song that represents the sadness of left-handed people (?).

In fact, right-handed people have no idea of the daily sufferings that left-handed people experience. And we are mostly right-handed. So, the world revolves around right-handed people more than left-handed people. I had the experience of helping a left-handed man who scooped the soup really hard because the ladle to scoop soup at the buffet restaurant was only for right-handed people. Left-handed people are living in such a silent way that the inconvenience of daily life that right-handed people cannot feel at all. So, if you want to throw a left-handed pitcher a little better in baseball, emphasize that he is an exceptionally left-handed pitcher and remind him that there are many left-handed celebrities such as Bill Gates and Steve Jobsney. It is also emphasized that among outstanding artists like Da Vinci, there are many left-handed people.

I'm a little sorry for left-handed people, but there are still a lot more good people right-handed. Because about 90% of humanity is right-handed.

Why are we mostly right-handed? It is prevailing that the reason we have become mostly right-handed is because mankind started making stone tools. In order to make stoneware, elaborate hand movements are required, but it is said that the elaborate hand movement is easier when the left brain is activated. In the end, since the left brain began to develop to make stoneware well, the number of right-handed people affected by the motor control function of the left brain increased.

Meanwhile, it is said that right-handed people became more dominant as humans armed with sophisticated stone tools began systematic hunting in earnest. Cooperation between colleagues is very important to hunt large and ferocious animals, and communication of information is essential to cooperate with each other. Language is the most effective means of communicating information. Hunter humans have developed language for free communication, but the part that controls language in the brain is also said to be the left brain. The development of language accelerated the activation of the left brain, which is associated with an increase in right-handedness.

Humans seem to have accidentally or inevitably become right-handed while making stone tools and hunting in the process of evolution. That doesn't mean that left-handers are useless at all. 90% of right-handed people are left-handed to have something they don't know. I look forward to the number of right-handed people with virtues that acknowledge and respect the differences between left-handed people. Wouldn't it be much more desirable to have a world where a few left-handed people and many right-handed people are harmoniously managed than a society where collective egoism prevails and tramples minority opinions?
