○ Sungyong Park: This is the time for “Gyeong Gi Culture,” <Tell Me~ GGC>, to quickly deliver the cultural news of Gyeonggi Province. We are together every Friday. Let's meet Reporter Park full of bright energy. Hello. Reporter Park!

▶ Suyoung Park: Hello. This is Suyoung Park, a ‘Culture News Messenger’ that quickly delivers cultural news such as various exhibitions and performances in Gyeonggi-do. I've been delivering news of the exhibition quickly over the past few weeks. Today I brought news of the performance.

○ Sungyong Park: A performance? What kind of performance is it?

▶ Suyoung Park: The Gunpo Cultural Foundation has been planning a “Brunch Classic” performance with the concept of cultural life that can be enjoyed every weekday morning. This year is the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, so you can see Beethoven's songs.

○ Sungyong Park: The 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth! I think many of you will be looking forward to this performance. But there are so many different songs by Beethoven. I think it will be too bad to put it in one performance.

▶ Suyoung Park: That's right. So this ‘Brunch Classic' concert was planned as a series called ‘Beethoven’s Jewel Box' with the concept of taking out and listening to well-known Beethoven's masterpieces and hidden songs one by one. For more details, I will listen to Deputy Director Choi Yong-hoon of Gunpo Culture and Arts Center.

“The 2020 brunch classic ‘Beethoven’s Jewel Box' is a performance that commemorates the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. A total of six times in Monday, June, August, September, October, and November, the third Thursday of the month at 11:00 am with classical commentary.”

○ Sungyong Park: You can look into Beethoven's life over a total of 6 performances~ It's a different theme for each performance. Then what was the story of “Beethoven's Jewel Box” in May?

▶ Suyoung Park: Yes, last month, under the name of ‘Beethoven, the Beginning of Classics', we filled a performance with songs by composers who were influenced by Beethoven's growth as a musician. I'll go to the scene at that time for a while.

▶ Suyoung Park: It was “Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. No. 36,” which was written when Beethoven was suffering from illness and feeling extreme pain.

○ Sungyong Park: I love it. I can't remember when I went to the show. Even though I heard it a bit for a taste, it seems like I've been living in culture after a long time, and I want to go see the ‘Brunch Classic'.

▶ Suyoung Park: I was like that last year. But this time, I am enjoying a wider variety of cultural life than usual while working as a “Tell Me GGC” Culture News Messenger.

○ Sungyong Park: I really envy you.

▶ Suyoung Park: As I report this time, I want to go to the June performance right away. One of the reasons is also the commentary of commentator Kim I-gon during the performance. Let's go to that pleasant scene.

○ Sungyong Park: I thought it would be a little heavy and serious just because you were giving a comment, but the atmosphere is very friendly.

▶ Suyoung Park: With the witty talk of ‘Kim Lee-gon' and unusual commentary, even those who didn't know Beethoven's music and life could enjoy the performance comfortably.

○ Sungyong Park: The brunch classic “Beethoven's Jewel Box” started under the nameof “Beethoven, the Beginning of Classics”. So what is the June performance about right now?

▶ Suyoung Park: I'll listen to commentator Kim I-gon about the performance in June.

“There was the first episode that highlights Beethoven's classic and romantic era. The second is a time when Beethoven met what kind of women he met, when he dedicated music for the woman he loved, and when he was inspired by the woman he loved, music was born. I think things like love stories will be delivered to you with music and commentary.”

▶ Suyoung Park: ‘Beethoven’s Immortal Lover' that contains a love story. As it is the theme of love, I think we can get closer to Beethoven's life. We'll talk a little more about when and what songs the June performance consists of. I'll listen to Deputy Director Choi Yong-hoon of Gunpo Culture and Arts Center.

“The special feature of the brunch classic ‘Beethoven, Immortal Lover' on Thursday, June 18 this month is a program that introduces the music of love unraveled by Beethoven, centering on the popular Beethoven's vocal song with the theme of Beethoven's love. It was planned as, and a total of 5 songs are prepared, starting with Opera Fidelio Prelude No. 72. Among the six brunch classical performances in total, this is the only performance performed by a singer and Gunpo Prime Phil. ”

○ Sungyong Park: It is the only performance with a vocalist among the six brunch classic performances. The theme of each performance changes like this. What is the theme for the next performances in August and September?

▶ Suyoung Park: In August, you can listen to Beethoven's hidden masterpiece dance song, which was not played much under the theme of ‘Dance with Beethoven'. can. The last concert in November ends with songs by later composers who miss Beethoven. Even if you can't go right away on June 18th, there will be a next performance, so please pay attention.

○ Sungyong Park: But I think there are many people who are worried about COVID-19. Are you making efforts to minimize infection?

▶ Suyoung Park: The reason we were able to finish the last concert successfully was because we thoroughly carried out efforts to prevent COVID-19. Hand disinfection and heating check, as well as writing a questionnaire, you must wear a mask when viewing the performance. In addition, in order to minimize infection, we operate a “distance seating system” that empties the front, back and sides. I think you can follow the controls of the performance officials well. Then, I'll finish by listening to Deputy Director Choi Yong-hoon of Gunpo Culture and Arts Center about the reservation for the performance.
