○ Sungyong Park: This is the time for ‘GyeongGi Culture' <Tell me~ GGC> to quickly convey the cultural news of Gyeonggi Province. We are together every Friday. Let’s meet Reporter Sooyoung Park full of bright energy. Hello. Reporter Sooyoung Park!

▶ Sooyoung Park: Hello. This is Sooyoung Park, a “cultural fairy” that quickly conveys cultural news such as various exhibitions and performances in Gyeonggi-do. This time, the North GyeongGi Children's Museum was newly opened with various exhibitions and educational programs. Let’s meet the hot news together.

○ Sungyong Park: The North GyeongGi Children's Museum has reopened this time after renovation~ Sooyoung Park: That's right. After 10 months of refurbishment, it was reopened on the 1st of this month, and the reaction is very hot. Wait here! Many people are confused. Did you know that there are two GyeongGi Children's Museums? Sungyong Park: Of course I know. In the last broadcast, we introduced you while talking about <Eobak TV>, the YouTube channel for children of GyeongGi Children's Museum.

▶ Sooyoung Park: You told me exactly. In summary, the North GyeongGi Children's Museum in Dongducheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and the GyeongGi Children’s Museum in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, are offering new and diverse exhibitions and educational events for children both online and offline.

○ Sungyong Park: Right. Of the two GyeongGi Children's Museums, today is the news from the North GyeongGi Children’s Museum in Dongducheon, which has recently reopened. It seems that the exhibitions and programs have also changed during the renovation this time. How is it?

▶ Sooyoung Park: That's right. As the North GyeongGi Children's Museum was renovated this time, a lot has changed. It is said that a lot of effort has been put into reorganizing the culture and art space customized for children with the theme of ‘children dreaming in the forest'. I'll hear from Director Munsong Pyo of the GyeongGi Children's Museum about the changes.

[Interview/ Director Munsong Pyo, GyeongGi Children’s Museum]

“In previous exhibitions, we only stayed in the past of the forest. So, creating a new context this time, creating a context of the past, present, and future of the forest, creates a place where children can experience the value of the forest and the natural environment together, the meaning of penetrating the past, present, and future, and to think about and create a new future together. I made it. In addition, the exhibition hall has intensively renewed the three exhibition halls on the second floor.”

○ Sungyong Park: You can think of the forest of the past as well as the forest of the present and the future. By the way, it was said that the exhibition hall on the second floor was intensively renewed. What kinds of exhibitions are available? Sooyoung Park: The 2nd floor was full of exhibits that children could experience. In particular, the “Forest of the Future” in the education zone was an exhibition where children could enjoy and study through digital media education on the theme of ecosystem, environment, and peace at the Media Lab. Let’s enjoy what kind of exhibitions there is.

[Interview/Education Zone]

“There are five colored cards. It contains themes of forest, sea, arctic, animals, and humans, but I don't know what content is included in random. Then, if you pick any card and touch it, it was a card that contains the mysterious nature of the sharks found in Greenland and how they lived for 400 years. (Another card) contains the story of a beautiful ice field in Finland. The card I caught was a card of beautiful nature, but there is also a story of desolate and destroyed nature. Looking at these things, children learn how to recognize, prepare, and prepare through responsive media.”

○ Sungyong Park: If you select one of the five colored cards and touch it on the screen, each card looks like a beautiful nature or destroyed nature.

▶ Sooyoung Park: That's right. I can study naturally while having fun. On one side, there was also a space where students could enjoy the media and have free discussions.

○ Sungyong Park: What other spaces are there besides the ‘education zone'?

○ Sooyoung Park: Let me introduce the spaces as a whole. The first floor has a dinosaur zone, a climber zone, and an infant and toddler zone, and the second floor has an education zone, forest ecology zone, valley water zone, and five senses forest zone. Personally, the <Five Senses Forest Zone> with the five senses, the representative character of the museum, was impressive. Let’s enjoy ‘the five senses strong sense of the forest’ together.

[Interview/ Five Senses Forest Zone]

“It is an exhibition room that shows the current state of the forest, called <Five Gamtonous Senses in the Forest>. By regaining sight, taste, hearing, smell, and touch one by one, the forest is revived, and humans living in the forest become healthy humans. First is hearing. Hear how different the woods sound. There are various stories of cuckoos, bell bugs, and forest whispering.”

○ Sungyong Park: Oh~ I think children will like it more because they can experience it directly. In your hearing, can you experience sight, taste, smell, and touch in this way, just as you heard the sound of cuckoos and bell bugs?

▶ Sooyoung Park: That's right. As an adult, I found it so much fun. I spent quite a bit of time on the second floor. In addition, there are a variety of experiences that children will love, such as cup pumps and water basketball.

○ Sungyong Park: I think fathers will like basketball with water.

▶ Sooyoung Park: I think so. It was quite difficult to put the ball floating in the fountain into the goal by pressing a button. It was a day at the North GyeongGi Children's Museum, where even I, as an adult, didn't know that time was passing. In fact, it is said that this renewal has expanded the audience's age group.

[Interview/GyeongGi Children’s Museum Director Munsong Pyo]

“As various exhibition education programs have been renewed and audiences come in contact with them, they are fresher than before, especially the audience age group, which has been tailored to the level from infants to the first and second grades of elementary school, and this has been raised to the upper grades of elementary school and high school. So I think the expansion of the audience's age group is meaningful in that it has increased the chance for more children in northern Gyeonggi to contact, experience, enjoy and learn about the various programs of the Children's Museum.”

▶ Sooyoung Park: There are other programs for participation. Every month, there is a ‘mixed-up child concert,’ which can be enjoyed by the whole family including adults as well as children.

○ Sungyong Park: It's a music concert? The name is funny. When is the concert?

▶ Sooyoung Park: This program is prepared equally at both Yongin and Dongducheon. You can apply on the website of the North Gyeonggi Children's Museum on November 21st in Dongducheon and November 28th in Yongin, or on the GyeongGi Cultural Foundation's integrated member site GGC Members.

○ Sungyong Park: The North GyeongGi Children's Museum in Dongducheon City is on November 21st, and the GyeongGi Children’s Museum in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province is on November 28th.

▶ Sooyoung Park: Finally, I'll finish by listening to the plans of the North GyeongGi Children's Museum in the future.

[Interview/ Director Munsong Pyo, GyeongGi Children’s Museum]

“If you visit this place, you will experience the beauty and value of nature with your own eyes, and come to the museum to learn about variously prepared forests, nature and environment, and how humans are connected with each other and build the future together Parents will work together to envision and provide experiences. So, I plan to become such a children's museum where you can immerse yourself in the problems of our time and art culture. I hope that many children will come and become children who can grow more and more.”

▶ Sooyoung Park: We ask for your interest in the North GyeongGi Children's Museum in the future.

○ Sungyong Park: We look forward to the day when the North GyeongGi Children's Museum will become a representative cultural facility in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province.
