If you are curious about the culture news that is always close to us, <Sungyong Park's Sisapocha-Let me know! Listen to GGC>. This radio program is hosted by GyeonGi Cultural Foundation with Gyeongin Broadcasting (90.7MHz).

○ Sungyong Park: This is the time for “Gyeong Gi Culture,” <Tell Me~ GGC>, to quickly deliver the cultural news of Gyeonggi Province. We are together every Friday. Let's meet Reporter Park full of bright energy. Hello. Reporter Park!

▶ Suyoung Park: Hello. This is Suyoung Park, a ‘Culture News Messenger’ that quickly delivers cultural news such as various exhibitions and performances in Gyeonggi-do. These days, face-to-face exhibitions and performances have decreased a lot due to COVID-19, but even if the distance increases, the heart is close with culture and art! In order to get closer, especially the Ansan Cultural Foundation was making a lot of effort.

○ Sungyong Park: What are your efforts?

▶ Suyoung Park: First of all, I cannot miss the exhibition <Connect Danwon> in progress at the Danwon Museum of Art. The museum is temporarily closed, but you can view the exhibition online on the Danwon Museum of Art website and YouTube of the Ansan Cultural Foundation. I'll listen to curator Kim Sang-mi of Danwon Museum of Art in detail about the exhibition.

“<Connect Danwon> is the subtitle of this exhibition. This exhibition is ‘The 14 Artists' Award-winning Works by Danwon Museum of Art'. Through the Danwon Art Festival every year, Danwon Museum of Art seeks out artists with potential and strives to support artists to enable continuous work activities. This exhibition is also organized so that you can see the works of a total of 14 artists who have won the Danwon Art Prize and the Selected Artist Awards from 2015 to 2019, when the art section of the Danwon Art Festival is changed from ‘Art Competition' to ‘Artist Competition'.”

○ Sungyong Park: When will there be another opportunity to meet the works of a total of 14 artists from 2015 to 2019 in one place.

▶ Suyoung Park: That's right. It is said that you can explore various flat paintings, sculptures, installation works, and especially the artist's art world that conveys a new perspective. It is a great opportunity to compare how the world of work has changed while comparing the artist's previous and recent works.

○ Sungyong Park: The ‘Exhibition of 14 winners by Danwon Museum of Art: Connect Danwon’ can be viewed online on the Danwon Museum of Art website and on YouTube of the Ansan Cultural Foundation.

▶ Suyoung Park: In addition, Danwon Museum of Art is conducting various art support projects for artists in Ansan, whose exhibitions and events were canceled due to COVID-19. It is largely divided into a creative support project and a space support project, and I will continue to listen to curator Sang-mi Kim.

“First, as a creative support project, from April 29th to May 20th, we conducted a creative support project called ‘Welcome to your creation!' We plan to support creation expenses for new works by artists in Ansan City and provide opportunities to participate in the planned exhibition at Danwon Museum of Art in October this year. And it is a space support project. A project called adding art to everyday life was held in advance. We plan to provide the newly created Gallery A to the Central Lobby of the Ansan Culture and Arts Center for groups and individuals in the field of visual arts such as art clubs, clubs, and individuals active in the region.”

○ Sungyong Park: For the creative support project recruited by May 20th, is it possible to support creative expenses to artists and participate in special exhibitions in the coming October month?

▶ Suyoung Park: I tried to give a chance to so many people. In the case of special exhibitions, opportunities are given to artists selected through screening. In addition, 12 teams have been selected for the Gallery A exhibition in the Ansan Center for Arts and Culture as a space support project, and the exhibition is ongoing until December 28th, so we ask for your interest.

○ Sungyong Park: I hope that the Gallery A exhibition at Ansan Culture and Arts Center will become an important cultural complex in Ansan

. ▶ Suyoung Park: I hope that day comes as soon as possible. Danwon Museum of Art is busy with various exhibition news even in the second half of the year. Let’s listen to curator Kim Sang-mi in detail.

“Many projects prepared for COVID-19 have been canceled this year, but projects that were conducted in the second half are still in preparation. First, the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation is preparing for a live painting in December by reporting the results of the GyeonGi Cultural Foundation's professional art creation support project to support outstanding and promising artists from Gyeonggi Province, selected in the time art field. Prior to this exhibition, we are planning to participate in the art fair as an exhibition of supported artists for <I am blessed with your creation!> and in November as a support program for selected artists of the Danwon Art Festival.”

▶ Suyoung Park: If it was the news of the exhibition so far, the next warm performance news of Ansan Arts Center is waiting for you. This is the news of the ASAC (Asak) Performing Arts Festival, which is already reaching its 10th anniversary. You can see performances of various genres online. I'll hear from the person in charge Kim Ju-ri about the specialness of the ASAC Performing Arts Festival.

[Interview/ Juri Kim]

“In the meantime, the ASAC (Asak) Performing Arts Festival has supported art organizations based on theater. Since last year, it has expanded to a wide range of genres. In particular, it has been able to discover, support, and grow emerging art groups. This year, 3 of the 4 performance groups have participated as emerging art groups. Currently, the spread and continuation of COVID-19 are facing many difficulties for art organizations. We promoted the ASAC (Asak) Performing Arts Festival so that local art groups can work more than other performances, and we decided to record live performances and release them on YouTube.”

▶ Suyoung Park: This time, four performances in three genres: 2 plays, sand animation opera, and dance through the competition, and you can meet them online for free.

○ Sungyong Park: We can continue to see the works of local art groups. Are you currently able to watch all 4 performances online?

▶ Suyoung Park: No. It is only open for 72 hours per performance. Performances now open! Let’s take a peek at the “Carrying Wonder Woman” of the theater company Line 4.

○ Sungyong Park: Is it the story of the “carrying wonder woman” bus coach?

▶ Suyoung Park: Yes, it was a play that I thought a lot after I thought it was a light play at first. In fact, as I prepared a rally asking for the guarantee of the rights of the bus driver and saw the protagonists who did not lose hope, I actually fled. A story when women's rights were not the same as they are now. Maybe this is the story of the times when my parents lived. It would be nice to see the whole family together this weekend.

○ Sungyong Park: I miss you so much because Reporter Park says that. You mean you can watch this show right now?

▶ Suyoung Park: That's right. The play “The Carrying Wonder Woman of Theater Company Line 4”, which was released from yesterday, can be enjoyed through the YouTube of the Ansan Arts Center until 3 pm on the 19th of this week. I will hear from the person in charge Kim Ju-ri for more details.
